I was here for a moment, and then I was gone..

Apparently life doesn't always go as planned... and things change, again and again. (maybe its just me?)

One month ago, I was just outside the city limits of Boston, registering for my freshmen year of college at Lasell College. I registered full time, with an amazing schedule, and classes I couldn't wait to take.

When I returned to good ol' Boise Idaho, things started setting in, and my feelings toward my up and coming year began to change... Something didn't quite feel right. A few things (I won't bore with details) weren't matching up. I was confused, feeling lost, and feared that the plan I was set on was slowly crumbling beneath my feet.

[back up]

My biggest debate when first applying to school was that I really wanted to travel abroad, see the world, and live a certain way. Once I applied, life started flying at me faster than I realized, and I touched down back in Idaho to the realization that I had lost sight of a huge dream of mine.

[fast forward]

I started asking 3 amazing friends who have now graduated college, but took time to see the world (or at least part of it) before they began their college career. The response was so positive and inspiring; I really started to consider traveling. I thought about it for a while, talked more, listened abundantly, took advice, caution, and researched for hours. One day after talking to my aunt about my dilemma, she said to me "well... it sounds like, inside, you've made your decision."

and I realized I had.

The following week I:
-Called Lasell and defered for a year
-Applied for my passport
-Told my family

Now here I stand, on the brink of my future... the world at my fingertips, and my dreams a reality.
